For planting purposes, we recommend our screened topsoil blend, rich in organic matter and perfect for lawns, gardens, and landscaping beds.
Soil Fill is a versatile bulk fill material for filling low areas, rough grading, raising grade, and yard levelling. It is lighter and looser than clean fill, making it more manageable for smaller projects, but it is still a fill product and can be heavy and labour-intensive to work with by hand, especially in larger quantities.
⚠️ Please note: Soil Fill is not screened topsoil. It may contain clay, chunks, clumps, small rocks, roots, and other natural materials, and its composition can vary from load to load. For lawns, gardens, or planting beds, choose our screened 4-Way Soil/topsoil blend.
Clean Fill is a much denser, compactable material intended for structural jobs such as foundation backfill, garage pads, patios, and site levelling. It is typically excavated dirt from job sites, so it may contain rock or other debris, and we cannot guarantee its exact composition.
⚠️ Please note: clean fill requires heavy equipment to place and compact properly, so we recommend it for contractors only.
